The connector. Gets a working, sampled connection to any source, and the moment it's knowable, hands it off.
Vera is the only agent that touches your system. She authenticates, tests the connection, pulls a bounded sample, infers the source schema and detects an incremental strategy, then emits a validated contract for the next agent. She does not map or transform; her job is to make the source knowable, safely.
New connectors are reasoned rather than hand-coded (the model is the adapter), so a source nobody has seen before still gets profiled. Contracts are built deterministically from real tool results, never improvised by a model.
A source configuration (database, warehouse, API, files, stream).
A working connection, a bounded sample, an inferred schema, as a validated contract.
Profile the source and generate its collection config.
Fire the collection and track it to completion.
Read the raw output, profile it, emit the contract.
